Wow, what a blast from the past! I was doing a web search for one of my employees, who is shortly going on an English course in Hastings, and decided to check out Guestling as well. My family emigrated to South Africa in 1974, but I attended Guestling Primary from around 1968 to 1973. We lived at No. 3 Friars Hill Crescent. Mr Griffiths was the headmaster during my time there. I went to Thomas Peacocke before moving to South Africa.
I am now in Saudia Arabia on contract.

It was a pleasure visiting with you! Great website! Just an aside: I went to school with a Debbie Ades. I see that a Natalie Ades has left a message here in the guestbook. Any relation?

Dear All
Many thanks for the warm welcome I received this morning on my visit to GBS. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and am looking forward to many more and also to meeting more of you!
As you can see I have returned home and checked out the website which is great. I particularly like the section 'about us' and the inclusion of the area surrounding the school. What a lovely part of the world we live in.
Hope to see you all soon. Good luck to Key Stage 2 with your forthcoming production, it sounded great today.

I had 11 happy years teaching at the school from 1956-1967. During that time, I went on teacher exchange to Australia, and my class sent me tape recordings of their activities while I was away. I now live in Mill Hill, NW London, and have retired, but I will never forget my happy years with the school. Keep the flags flying!
